Pope Francis’ Prayer for Protection During the Coronavirus Pandemic
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion
by St. Alphonsus Ligouri
My Jesus, I believe that Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things and I desire Thee in my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though Thou wert already there, I embrace Thee and unite myself wholly to Thee; permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee. Amen.

Prayer to Your Guardian Angel when You Cannot Attend Daily Mass
O HOLY ANGEL at my side, Go to Church for me, Kneel in my place, at Holy Mass, Where I desire to be.
At Offertory, in my stead, Take all I am and own, And place it as a sacrifice Upon the Altar Throne.
At Holy Consecration’s bell, Adore with Seraph’s love, My Jesus hidden in the Host, Come down from Heaven above.
Then pray for those I dearly love, And those who cause me grief, That Jesus’ Blood may cleanse all hearts, And suff’ring souls relieve.
And when the priest Communion takes, Oh, bring my Lord to me, That His sweet Heart may rest on mine, And I His temple be.
Pray that this Sacrifice Divine, May mankind’s sins efface; Then bring me Jesus’ blessing home, The pledge of every grace. Amen
"If we only knew how God regards this Sacrifice, we would risk our lives to be present at a single Mass." ~Saint Padre Pio
Prayer in Time of Sickness
O Jesus, You suffered and died for us; You understand suffering; Teach me to understand my suffering as You do; To bear it in union with You; To offer it with You to atone for my sins And to bring Your grace to souls in need. Calm my fears; increase my trust. May I gladly accept Your holy will and become more like You in trial. If it be Your will, restore me to health so that I may work for Your honor and glory and the salvation of all men. Amen.
Prayer for Families at Home Together
Father of all mercies, as we seek to stop the spread of the coronavirus, we spend more time together as family at home. Let this be a time we grow closer together. Help us to be more patient and forgiving of one another. Your Son was patient and forgiving of Peter when, under pressure, denied he even knew Jesus three times.
Jesus taught us to love even in the midst of pain as he forgave those who nailed him to the cross.
To love like you is a choice you call us to make.
Help us each day to recommit ourselves
to forgive, seek forgiveness, and to love again.
As we learn to love the members of our family,
help us to also learn to love all the members of Your family, especially those suffering the effects of this terrible illness.
In Jesus’ name. Amen
Pope Francis’ prayer to Mary
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God. Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial, but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
