Publix Ministry
Jim McCabe
The Publix Ministry picks up bakery and produce items that are going to be discarded at the Publix store on GA 54 East.  Every weekday, except Tuesday, we meet at the rear of the store (around 7:30 a.m. or earlier) and pack those items for delivery to various locations.  The volume differs from day to day, but usually a van or pick-up is needed to handle the load.  Volunteers use boxes provided by Publix to do the packing, and other volunteers provide the means of delivery.  We deliver to different locations, from Atlanta to Palmetto, to Senoia and Union City.  Contact Jim McCabe 770-487-8392 for more information.
St. Francis Table
Jim McCabe
St. Francis Table is a soup kitchen that serves a hot meal at noon every Saturday in the basement of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  The street people and less fortunate of Atlanta are guests.  The Shrine is across the street from the Coca-Cola exhibit at Underground Atlanta.  For more information click here.
