Publix Ministry Jim McCabe |
The Publix Ministry picks up bakery and produce items that are going to be discarded at the Publix store on GA 54 East. Every weekday, except Tuesday, we meet at the rear of the store (around 7:30 a.m. or earlier) and pack those items for delivery to various locations. The volume differs from day to day, but usually a van or pick-up is needed to handle the load. Volunteers use boxes provided by Publix to do the packing, and other volunteers provide the means of delivery. We deliver to different locations, from Atlanta to Palmetto, to Senoia and Union City. Contact Jim McCabe 770-487-8392 for more information. |
